Details of the Nokia E62 have been circulating for some time now, but some more specifics were announced this morning. It’s being touted as a primary competitor to the highly popular Motorola Q. The E62 features a full QWERTY keyboard and a 16 million color, 320 x 240 resolution screen. It is compatible with many mobile emailing options as well as POP3, IMAP and SMTP. It also comes preloaded with several IM applications.
Users will also be able to view, edit and create documents, spreadsheets and presentations. And it features Nokia’s S60 browser. Unfortunately, it does not support HSDPA or UMTS, but it’s pretty hot anyway. It will be available for “as low as $149″ on September 29.

This is a great device for an amazing price. Naturally, it isn’t aimed at the Gadget freaks - who all buy unlocked Nokia E61s but for the mass market this is the right device for the right price.

I didn’t know about the unlocked E61s, but I like my E62. The price is right and in a year or so there’ll be something new and better…hopefully with a camera.
