Well, not exactly. My mother used something very much like this when I was a kid; it was called a “Snug Sack.” I’m 38 years old, so we’re going back about 30 years… The one she used, though, was more of a sleeping bag w. sleeves, which I’d prefer to a blanket, but it’s the same idea.
This means the Slanket is the “ripoff,” not anything that comes out from here on. Don’t get me wrong–it IS a great idea, but it’s not THEIR idea.
$55 is pretty steep, too. I’d pay that if it were an electric blanket, but…
That’s awesome! :D I like the lack of sleepingbagness too. But really, for 55$, I’d rather buy a 10$ blanket, sew it up into sleeves myself, and spend the remaining 45$ on music or something XD

PURE INGENUITY
something so simple….yet….so innovative
i doubt anyone can capitalize on that idea though
given there are probably a million rip offs once the idea is out
“…something entirely ingenious and new.”

By the way, here’s another “ripoff” at Hammacher Schlemmer:

$55 does seem steep and I whole heartedly agree with you Elodie.
“And Slanket is stylish”
What passes for stylish amongst you Tech types is _almost_ endearing
Style-ish, is perhaps more like it. As in, “not quite in style, but close. Style-ish.”
Oooooh Francis Burdett: you get bonus points on the Snarky chart. That was good. :)
Why not just visit “The Big Man” shop?
Great idea…but $55? They got a but greedy…I agree with peter. Peace!!!
