The Scotty Pro is $100 or so in those weird British dollars, and is avaialble now. We’re not sure if there’s an amateur addition that might be a little cheaper [Groan! -Ed]

I think this is a great idea. I wonder if it might make sense to attach a very small inverter to a 10 watt solar panel and create something that can recharge any portable device from solar power.
