To our dear readers north of the border: You will be getting the iPhone and it will be with Rogers. From an official Rogers rep:
“Rogers is actively working with Apple to launch the iPhone in Canada as soon as possible and will be the exclusive provider of the iPhone in Canada. ”
No other details are available at this time, but we’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Rogers is the worst cellular provider in Western Canada by far (can’t comment on Eastern). Gah. Terrible.

I echo Stephen’s sentiment. I wish iPhone will partner up with Fido (a subsidary of Rogers but better customer services).

I use Rogers in Western Canada - they’re alright… Though I must admit, the data service charges I’ve seen have been just completely insane.. completely. I downloaded a 5mb MP3 for a ringtone and it cost $0.05/kb, that meant $250 for that single file. At least Roger’s waived the charge for me, but only for that one occasion. Why the heck would there be such insane prices? Cause there’s no reasonable competition? Anyway, Roger’s isn’t that bad, though I gotta admit, I feel like starting a telecommunications company now. Ha ha ha
