First ZunePhone Ad Surfaces, Featuring Steve Ballmer

We’ve been dragging the ponds and dive bars of greater Seattle looking for more rumors and tips about the forthcoming ZunePhone, but things are quiet. We don’t like quiet. Here, then, is the first commercial for the ZunePhone, probably in response to the iPhone ad we saw at the Oscars.

Enjoy!

Microsoft just look cheap for attempting to copy Apple yet again, and this time with such speed. It reeks of desperation.

Actually Daniel, to quote a CG article

“Our source says that an iPhone competitor has been in the works for a while, and the idea of branding it as part of the Zune ecosystem, from the brown color through the interface, came as a recent decision as a response to Apple’s iPhone.”

So yes the “zune phone” is a response to Apple’s iPhone, but it is not a copy. It takes quite a while for project like these to get kicked into motion, and 2 months since the Apple iPhone was released isn’t enough, much less in a huge corporation like Microsoft.

Actually Jon, I think Daniel was making a joke, which according to the rules of obviousness, you missed.

Oh snap, Sean you need to send me those rules, because he just sounds like a Apple fanboy.

Unless of course you mean Daniel was referring to the actual ad content which I thought was hilarious too. Which if it’s that case…

I apologize Daniel for incorrectly assuming you to be a blatant Apple fanboy that was mindlessly attacking Microsoft and withdraw my comments.
