The old “I don’t know where this porno came from” defense alive and well

Here’s a tip: If you’re a State Representative about to lecture high school kids on, well, anything, and you’re planning on using a Powerpoint deck on your thumb drive, it’s probably a good idea to delete all the porn off of it, as some computers will automatically play back images as a slideshow. Just so you know.
Also, denying the porn is yours isn’t a very good defense. As the article says, “Barrett says the stick was a gift and he has no idea where the images came from…”
That’s crap. I know where the images came from: The Internet. Our elected officials look at the exact same smut that we do. See, they’re human afterall.

Also, if you use your own computer for a presentation, deleting the “DivX movies” folder reference on the desktop is probably a good idea .. in fact removing all icons from the desktop is probably the best idea! :-)

Does this mean he is going to criminally prosecuted like the female teacher that had the porn pop ups on her computer?

“denying the porn is yours isn’t a very good defense”. Why not? Consider just for a millisecond that he’s telling the truth, someone played a joke on him?

If he had been republican, there would have already been a Senate hearing, a resolution introduced, full page story in the NYT and the LA times, oh, and also calls for an investigation into everything in his life.

Well to be fair,, if it was a republican he wouldnt have shown a pic of a nakid lady to the kids,, he would have skipped straight to molesting on of the male students

JohnS, you’re right. In fact, Republicans don’t even have to show porn to kids for it to be national news, they just have to accept money from a porn producer.

But instead of taking the heat, this low life blames his 12 year old son.

I’m sure today’s kids share the same fascination with naked women that we had when we were kids. But why would his kid have access to his flash drive, and to his computer? Nice try, dude.
